Last year, my daughter broke her hand. It was right in the middle of my work week, the last three days of school for her, and everyone was a bit more complicated than we both expected.

First of all, she needed help showering, getting her shoes on, prepping food, and basic life tasks. This immediately affected the parenting schedule she was on with me and my ex, because I’m the only parent who can help her with most of this stuff.

Second, she needed medical appointments scheduled the following week, since we weren’t able to get in with the ortho doc immediately. I needed to schedule the appointments and take her to them, as she always wants me to be the one to support her through medical things.

Third, her school was doing a big adventure that week at an amusement park, a water park, and more. I had to drive her to school early, talk to the school staff, and figure out what she could or couldn't do. 

This, my friend, is the reason I created my Slacker Magic Manifesting System for running my business in the first place.

As soon as my daughter was born, I realized one HUGE thing about owning a business:

The biggest asset in your business is TIME.

Nothing else matters if you don’t have the time to tend to your business. It simply won’t grow. And, if you’re a mom like me and need to be SUPER flexible with your time, you need a way to work that magically creates time flexibility.

I know we’ve all seen those Facebook Ads where someone is sitting on a beach, happily working from anywhere.

I tell you what - that’s NOT what I want.

I want to vacation on a beach every now and then, without my laptop, because I can freely step away from my work anytime I want.

I want to be able to be 100% there for my child at the drop of a hat, whenever she needs me. That’s my parenting value and it’s the most important thing to me.

I want to be flexible with my time so that I can wake up and realize my body needs something or my spirit needs something - and go do it.

That’s why I created the Slacker Magic Manifesting System - to make time work FOR me in my business so I didn’t feel chained to my laptop or unable to be there for my daughter.

The coolest thing about time is that you can learn to work in a way that allows you to get enormous amounts of work done in a very short time.

This is how I exist. 😂

Without this system, I’d never be able to do what I do.

When my daughter got hurt, not only was I managing a broken hand adventure, but I was also selling my house. I woke up every day to showing requests to see the house and had to figure out how to get it ready and vacate it as needed. 🤪

While it was for sure bonkers, I was still getting everything done for my business, and I wasn't doing it late at night. I was still getting creative ideas and writing content for my business. I was fully able to do everything I needed, even with all of that happening.

This is what nobody really teaches you in business school, business programs, marketing programs, or business coaching.

HOW to work in a way that allows you to get things done and still handle the messiness of life.

Because there’s one thing I know for sure: There’s never a good, right, or perfect time to get anything done in your business. Life will ALWAYS throw surprise curveballs your way. Just when you have a moment of settled time, something will pop up to throw you off balance.

That’s just how life works.

We have to work WITH this in order to have successful businesses.

And the only way to do it is to be able to get plenty done in a short amount of time, so that you remain in charge of your most valuable business asset.

TIME.
